How it works
Using Yodnoma is simple in two directions: working with quotes and joining the community. Both start in a few steps.
Install the app and register — everything you need is in one place.
Each step of both directions is explained in detail below. The process is so simple that seeing it once is enough.
Save a quote
Two ways: pick one you like from the collection, or photograph a book page in the app — the text is recognised automatically. Each quote is linked to its author and work, so the source will be found even years later.
Add it to a collection
Sort your saved quotes into your own collections: for example, “For hard days” or “Ideas for work”. You can also subscribe to ready-made themed collections — new quotes will arrive every day.
Create a card and share it
Turn your favourite quote into a beautiful card with one tap — pick a style, done. Send the card to friends or share it on social media. Each card is published with its author credited.
Join a club and discuss
Join a book club in a direction you like: for 30 days you read one book together. Take part in chapter discussions, share your quotes, ask questions. Spoiler protection works automatically.
Tips
3 tips to start
Start with one collection
Do not subscribe to everything at once. Pick one interesting themed collection and observe it for a week. If the daily quotes suit your taste — expand further.
Choosing your first club
Join a club for a book you have already read — taking part in the discussion will be easier. Or start with a short book: finishing the 30-day marathon matters.
Collect your own quotes
A ready-made collection is good, but a quote saved by your own hand is a thousand times more precious. While reading, make it a habit to photograph lines you like: in a month you will have your own treasury.
About the culture
The Yodnoma community has written rules: cite your source, mark spoilers, disagree respectfully, never make categorical claims about a book you have not read. Saying “I don’t know” is respected here.
The environment is protected from noise by having no infinite feed and no “race for likes”. What matters is not activity but substance: a useful thought, a good question, an apt quote.
The third rule is patience. A good discussion is not born in haste: read someone’s thought, think it over, then reply. The most valuable answers usually arrive the next day.
