Yodnoma

Features

Yodnoma works in two big directions: working with quotes and the book lovers’ community. Below are the main features of each direction.

All features live in one app: the collection, themed sets, card creation and clubs. The first version ships the essentials; later updates add the personal shelf and extended search.

Every feature passes one test: “Does this strengthen the reader’s connection with the book?” If the answer is “yes” — it gets added; if “no” — it is set aside. Nothing that creates noise will enter Yodnoma.

  1. Curated quotes collection

The strongest lines from great works gathered in one place. Each quote comes with its author and work credited, in unaltered text. A treasury of thoughts, always at hand.

  2. Themed collections

Quotes sorted by theme: philosophy, Uzbek literature, history, science, business, classics. Pick a collection matching your interest and meet new thoughts every day.

  3. Quote of the day

One curated quote every day: short, deep, thought-provoking. A minute-long exercise for the mind before your morning coffee. You can share the daily quote with friends.

  4. Quote cards

Turn your favourite quote into a beautiful card with one tap: Minimal, Paper, Classic and Editorial styles. Clean typography with correct punctuation — no defects.

  5. Saving via OCR

Photograph a book page in the app — the text is recognised automatically and lands in your collection. No need to retype by hand. The app also prepares a summary with key ideas.

  6. Book clubs

30-day book clubs: you read one book together, discuss chapters each week, and draw a shared conclusion at the end. Tracks: Uzbek literature, philosophy, history, science, psychology, business and more.

  7. Book discussions

Separate conversations for each book and chapter — with spoiler protection. A discussion of a chapter you have not read yet will not be shown to you. Questions, quotes, disagreement — all welcome.

  8. Personal shelf

A virtual shelf of the books you are reading and have read: statuses, favourites, personal notes. The shelf is yours — you decide what is visible and to whom.

  9. Quote of the day

Every morning — one quote chosen by the editors: short, deep, a companion for your day. A minute-long habit, but it shapes the way you think. Add the ones you like to your collection with one tap.

  10. Privacy control

Your personal quotes and notes are visible only to you — until you choose to share them yourself. Public and private are always clearly separated: nothing ever “slips out” by accident.

Why exactly this choice?

Quotes and community complement each other. A quote is the fruit of a personal conversation with a book; the community is where those fruits are shared. One without the other would be incomplete.

We deliberately go deep in a narrow field. Yodnoma will not become a “super-app” for everything — it will superbly serve two reader needs: keeping favourite lines and talking to like-minded people.
